In praise and worship this morning we sang Alive in You by Kim Walker Smith, Hide Away in the Love of Jesus by Sovereign Grace, and Marvelous Light by Charlie Hall.

Kathy continued our study on cultivating the Mind of Christ with a review and lesson on the New Life and Light of Christ and how the Holy Spirit is imputed and imparted to us.

We began the new year with praise and worship, singing: Cornerstone by Hillsong, Head to the Heart by United Pursuit, and In Christ Alone by Kristian Stanfill.

We kicked off this new series: THINK AGAIN: Cultivating the Mind of Christ with a look into the Fundamentals.  Kathy explained that we will be looking into how God wants to transform us by changing the way we think. As we partner with Him in that process, we can view life through His unrivaled perspective and wisdom because we have the mind of Christ! By studying and cultivating the mindsets that we see in Jesus’ earthly life, we will learn to:

· Access the mind of Christ through His Word and His Spirit
· Experience more consistent peace and joy no matter our circumstances
· Identify our toxic thought patterns and replace them with the truth
· Have greater authenticity in our relationships
· Become more focused and purposeful in our pursuits

In today’s lesson Kathy focused on the importance of cultivating the mind of Christ and the different ways we receive God’s Word through the example of the parable of the Sower, Matthew 13: 1-23.

We began our spring semester with praise and worship singing:  Prepare the Way by Millieum Worship, Anchor of Hope by Ellie Holcomb and In Christ Alone with The Solid Rock by Travis Cottrell.

Kathy introduced us to a new name of our heavenly Father, the God of All Comfort.  Through the example of Paul and his second letter to the Corinthians she lead us through the ideas that there is purpose in our pain and how we can receive God’s power and comfort through our weakness.
