Counting On God, Part 14 – 03/06/12

Share

We continued learning to count on God this week as we began our discussion of strongholds. A stronghold is a long-standing, unbiblical thought pattern that is rigid and yields ground to Satan. We saw in 2 Sam. 5:1-10 how David knew that the secret to defeating an enemy stronghold was to fight from the inside out. As we battle the strongholds of the enemy, we need to dwell in Jesus who is our ultimate stronghold by 1) staying connected to the rivers of living water (abiding) 2) stand on the solid rock foundation which is the word of God 3) cling to the strong tower of safety which is the name of God.

Kathy concluded the lesson with a personal testimony about connecting the deep places of ourselves to the deep things of God by asking the question, “Where was Jesus?” You will certainly want to hear it.
