We continued our Counting On God series this week focusing on John 15:1-5. Kathy used the example of the vine and branches to illustrate how we are: 1) Grafted into Christ – This describes our RELATIONSHIP to Christ, that we have been rescued from the empty way of life and that His life now flows through us. 2) Groomed for Fruitfulness – God cultivates and waters our hearts every minute to produce both inner fruit (fruits of the Spirit) and outer fruit (good works). 3) Grown through Fellowship – A grafted branch has to stay put (abide) in order to take root. As we abide in fellowship with Jesus He prunes and renews our mind, will, and emotions so that growth takes place in our spirit.
