Fundamentals of Victory – Part 2 10-05-10

Share

Today we looked at more fundamentals of victory. Simply put, we are to PRAY, WAIT, FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS, and LEAVE THE RESULTS TO GOD. Again we looked at the life of Paul in Acts and in Philippians and how he followed this pattern. We are instructed, as good soldiers of Christ, to (1) Pray: bring everything to God in prayer, (2) Wait in faith and expectation for supplies and instruction, (3) Follow Instructions, knowing that we might only have light to see our next right thing, and (4) Leave the Results to God, resting in His character and promises rather than in our own reasoning.  We were encouraged by the truth that waiting does not mean just sitting around doing nothing. Waiting is an active verb and means to LOOK EAGERLY FOR, to HOPE, to EXPECT. Our prayer and promise this week is found in Phil. 4:7 Amp – “And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
