Today was a fabulous kickoff! It was so great to see the faces of dear friends and make new ones as well. Kathy began teaching her series “Scriptural Secrets For Victorious Living” with VICTORY IN JESUS. In Philippians 4:12 Msg Paul tells us that he has learned the recipe for being happy. We learned the 3 main ingredients to that recipe – DDD: Direction, Discipleship and Desire. As we seek the Lord this week, we are asking Him to change the direction of our lives in some area where we feel defeated or confused. We are asking Him to make us committed to a lifestyle of discipleship, learning to walk in the victory that is ours in Him. Finally, we are standing on the promise found in Jeremiah 24:7 – “I will give them a heart to know Me.” We can ask God to make knowing Him the true desire of our hearts because He has already planted it deep within us. We win friends! Overwhelming victory is ours through Christ (Rom. 8:37 NLT).
